A Local Business With Deep Athens Roots
Unique Designs Georgia is a locally owned remodeling and construction company serving Athens, Georgia, and surrounding areas. Owner Gary Huckaby is an Athens native who was born and raised in the community. His local connection is an important part of the business and the way we approach customer relationships.
Gary brings 24 years of industry experience and more than 20 years of experience as a local business owner. Over the years, he has developed a practical understanding of construction and the importance of working closely with customers throughout a project.
At Unique Design GA, we believe great results begin with great relationships. That’s why we’ve worked with many of the same trusted subcontractors for decades. These long-standing partnerships reflect our commitment to quality workmanship, dependable service, and attention to detail. By working with professionals who understand our standards and share our dedication to excellence, we help ensure every project is completed with care, consistency, and confidence.
Experience You Can Bring to Your Project
Remodeling and construction involve many decisions. Customers need to consider how a space should function, what needs to change, and how the finished project should support their goals. Experience helps us approach those decisions with a practical perspective.

At Unique Designs Georgia, we do not believe every project should look or work the same. A family remodeling a kitchen has different priorities from a business improving a commercial property. A homeowner updating a bathroom has different needs from a customer planning new construction.
We start by listening to the customer and understanding the project.
Our Local Perspective
Being from Athens gives Gary a personal connection to the community we serve. He understands the area and the people who call Athens home. That local perspective is part of what makes Unique Designs Georgia a neighborhood-focused business rather than a one-size-fits-all construction company.
We are proud to work with customers in Athens and surrounding communities and to build relationships through the projects we complete.
What Guides Our Work
Customer-Focused Planning
We begin by understanding what you want to accomplish. Your goals help shape the conversation around your remodeling or construction project.
Practical Construction Experience
With 24 years in the industry, Gary brings hands-on knowledge and experience to the work. That experience helps us look at projects from both the customer's perspective and the construction perspective.
Local Service
We are invested in the community we serve. Our goal is to provide a professional experience while maintaining the personal feel of a local business.
Attention to the Finished Space
The finished project should make sense for the property and the people using it. We focus on the details that help a remodeled or newly constructed space feel complete.
Remodeling & New Construction
Our services include kitchen remodeling, bathroom remodeling, home remodeling, and ground-up new construction. We work with residential and commercial customers throughout Athens and surrounding areas.
Whether you have a clear plan or are still exploring possibilities, we welcome the opportunity to hear about your project.
